How to Transcribe the record you just received
*PLEASE* do for me and for others, your will transcript(s) may be the loose brick that break down their brick walls. The transcripts you provide are the crowbars to loosen the bricks in other's brickwalls.
Transcribe the will record and share with others.
Three ways to do this. Not necessary ALL but do it anway.
1. *fully* transcribe, save and send to ME if it is for New York to be properly formatted and sent to the USGenWeb Project Archives to be deposited. (can be .doc, .rtf, .wpd or .txt - .txt the most preferred for ease of quick recovery and uploading.)
Be sure to insert these very important lines in your transcriptions:
Transcribed from SAMPUBCO copy by (your name)
(County name)(state) Will Book Vol. (#), page (#)
Surnames: (the surnames of all relatives found in the record)
(above information can be found on your invoice copy)
And don't forget to give your name! SAMPUBCO customer database is not searchable by email address.
This will expediate the files into Archives.
(your name and email address will be listed at all the times unless you specify otherwise) (strongly encouraged.) The file managers will add the standard USGenWeb Archives notice.
For other states beside New York, please go to here

2. You are responsible for any submissions you make to local county coordinators for inclusion in their websites. Not all will accept.
3. Notify me when you posted to the message boards so I can link to the posted will. And add to your earned credit account for future orders.
When done:
Take advantage of the Earned Credit Bonus Program when you submit to the USGenWeb Archives or county sites. Remember that for each transcript uploaded, you earn $1.00 off toward future order of a will record, up to 20 records. Remember that the bonus credits are RENEWABLE. Still you must notify me when they are added to county sites.
